The HERA menstrual sponge is a natural alternative to tampons and menstrual cups. This natural sponge comes from the ocean, is plastic-free, and is harvested by hand and gently processed without any bleach or chemicals. It absorbs only the blood and does not dry out the vaginal flora, which many women find much more comfortable than with conventional products.

This 3-pack includes three sponges with a permanently attached retrieval string made of medical-grade silicone. This makes removing the sponge just as easy as removing a tampon.

Size M, for medium days

Diameter: approx. 5 to 6.5 cm per sponge; absorbency: approx. 15 to 25 ml. Reusable for 4 to 5 cycles during moderate flow.

If necessary, the sponge can be cut to size or, on heavy days, worn in pairs.

Application

Before first use, as well as before and after your period, soak the sponges in warm water with a cleaning tablet for about 20 minutes, then rinse them thoroughly. To insert, moisten the sponge, squeeze it gently, and insert it like a tampon. It can be worn for up to eight hours. To change it while on the go, simply give the removal string a gentle tug.

Reusable and sustainable

Depending on the amount of flow, a sponge can be reused for several months; for hygienic reasons, it is recommended that you replace it after six cycles at the latest. After that, it is compostable.
